Occupational Therapy

Dave has been doing great in PT and OT, these pictures show how he can stand on his own for a few minutes and move his body around. This is difficult because his balance is off, but he is working hard. He has also been playing Wii Fit in OT to get balance back. If anyone wants to know what to get him for Christmas.......

Dave walked with crutches yesterday, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures. He did a lap around on his walker then on crutches.

Whoo-hoo, it is so cool to see these, what amazing progress he has made. I love seeing another way the Wii is being used too, that is neat.

We continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers,
tp

That OT is fascinating. My daughter did a year of OT when she was 5 as she was diagnosed with vestibular processing issues- which is in the brain and controls balance. The OT was doing tons of balance stuff for an hour 2x a week. The results were amazing. Balance is something we totally take for granted until we don't have it. Glad Dave is getting this great therapy and having success. Quality of life is so important.

Wow! Standing and no support, amazing. I'd love to see you do some laps when I get there. You are probably schooling everyone in Wii Sports bowling.

Help us out with some other things for you BOTH.
I love the pictures. Dave, you are doing such a great job and Liz you are
doing an even better job by helping Dave heal in so many ways.
Love,
