We have just been doing our thing the past week....Not too much to tell. Dave walked the Parallel Bars 7 times today at PT. Slowly but Surely he will get there....Sept. 25 he is going in to have another surgery to crank his knee and remove the scar tissue that has built up from not moving it in 4 months, yep thats right 4 months on the 17th. It has really set in that we are going to be here for awhile since the weather is already changing to COLD. Yuck! Luckily my Mom brought up some fall stuff for us when she and my Dad came up today. I am thinking my Mississippi blood may need a full snowsuit in the next few weeks. BRRR.....

My Dad and Dave are driving to Virginia in the morning for the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation Golf Tournament. My Dad will be playing and hopefully Dave can get out there in a cart and swing a club. He is really excited! My mom and I have to stay around because Dave pretty much takes up the whole car, between him, the chair (which by the way is pretty heavy) and the leg pieces that come off AND throw in my Dad's clubs.

We can always find places to poke around Silver Spring for the day. Then Saturday we are going to try and have the Girls Day to the Leesburg Outlets- J. Crew, Burberry, Brooks Brothers, Polo, Saks Off 5th, Lacoste, etc. Hopefully I can find the Burberry Quilted Jacket I have been coveting on sale! Or at least the Outlet version.

Its so nice when we have visitors, it really lifts Davids spirits, so if anyone else wants to brave the cold--we have Hero Miles we can use! Just let us know!

It certainly does my heart good to know that you and your mom are having this fun time together! There is nothing better than mother/daughter time spent shopping or just doing whatever. You are a brave girl who is handling this crisis with grace, class, and courage!! xoxo

I do hope Dave and Dad have fun at the golf tournament. You will love the Leesburg outlets....you may also want to look into the hagerstown outlets...a bit of a drive, but well worth it!
Prayers continue for both you and Dave!

Granny and I are planning to take you up on the Hero Miles in October.
I'll let you know dates as soon as possible.
Let us know how the Golf day was and how your shopping day with your Mom went.
We love you both.

It almost sounds as if everything is "normal", well since he is out patient now...that seems to be doing Dave good:) Enjoy ur day of shopping! I think Grandma will be sending another card to Dave...just curious is the mailing address the same? I didn't know if it would change now that he was out patient(you know if you got the mail and brought it to him, or what)
