can't believe that thing is so small yet can cause so much destrution!
That is what we engineers called a "Toe Popper".
Nasty little device designed to wound and not kill.
The Eastern block countries have a verion (this one) and the Americans also have something like that.
I hope Dave is doing as good as he looks in the pictures. He's still a hereo on my book.

It gives me chills just looking at that thing. Dave is indeed a hero!

I showed this picture to my husband he said they're called "Toe Poppers", but I guess you knew that already since your husband is also EOD.
