David went with me to my Dr.'s appointment, which accomplished nothing......he did really well being out all afternoon. Which brings me to the good news: We got a day pass for tomorrow and can go downtown for the whole day! Not sure how long we will last, but this is a really big step to being out patient!
Here are a few more pictures of Dave standing yesterday at PT, he was up (on the tilt table) at about 40 degrees for 10 minutes!

Way to go, Dave! The bands are off your toes, I see. It's great to see and read of your progress.
Liz, hope you're doing OK. Have a good weekend and enjoy the day pass.
That is great news!!! I know you both will be gald to be out on the town, even if it is just for a little while. The pictures are great...keep them coming. We are all starved for any glimpse into what you two are up to everyday.
So proud!
Love,
Aunt Donna

This is wonderful news! Have a great day and enjoy the fresh air
but most of all enjoy each other.
Our thoughts are with you always.

Mom and Steve
You guys have fun on your day pass....That looks terribly painful, but it's awesome seeing you upright. Keep at it brother, and take care...

I live on the West Coast and found your blog through your mother's blog. I have been cheering and praying for wounded vets for a long time, but never had any actual contact, so thanks for sharing your inspiring story, and for posting links to organizations. Hope you have a really nice weekend.

Hello
How I got to your blog I cant even remember, now that I am here I cant leave with out saying...my prayers are for you both... hope you dont mind. My heart goes out to you both. I read a book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, by Don Piper.
He wrote in great detail this apperatus called the Halo, and how painful it is to wear, in the end of his journey,it was worth it! My prayers are with you, from Canada.
